BBQ'ing Pearls
I’ve definitely thrown my pearls to the wrong people more times than I’d like to admit. It’s a hard lesson, but we’ve got to learn to recognize the pigs and dogs in our lives—those who won’t value what we hold dear.
People love to say, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure,” but I say, “One man’s treasure is another man’s trash.”Not everyone will appreciate what you’ve been through or what you’ve built. They only see where you are now—they don’t see the road that got you there. Be discerning with your treasure. Not everyone deserves it.
Matthew 7:6
“Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.”
