Drowned Dreams

$44.44

This piece holds a lot of meaning for me—it was the first one I ever sketched and had commissioned. Alcoholism runs deep in my family. It shaped my childhood, strained my relationship with my father, and left scars that go beyond just drinking. You don’t have to be the one holding the bottle to feel its grip. Alcoholism traps everyone it touches.

We live in a world that glorifies getting drunk or high, but no one talks about the pain that follows—beatings, neglect, abandonment, and the endless cycle of destruction. It’s time to really look at what’s inside the bottle. They don’t call it spirits for nothing. Every time you take a drink, you invite something in—something that doesn’t always leave quietly.

Proverbs 23:21

"For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty, and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags."

Proverbs 23:31

"Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly!"
